Hi, I’m mary.

I’m an audio journalist, producer and fact-checker. I’m interested in pretty much everything, but some of my obsessions include the intersection of religion and education (like evangelical Christian homeschooling), labor organizing, and profiling interesting people.

Most recently I worked as an Associate Producer for The Takeaway, a daily news show at WNYC. I’ve reported for Teen Vogue, City Limits and Chalkbeat, among others. I earned a masters’ in audio, investigative and urban journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY in 2021. Based in NYC.
